Old Rest or rather the Indian Trail  is near red house lake and near the beautiful park police administration building which rather looks like a giant mansion. The mansion reminds me of Bruce Wayne's mansion in Batman. But the area is very wooded and you tend to wonder how many of them rangers who work here or stay here see strange things. Going out patrolling at 2am down a gravel road or perhaps ghost behind there building? Liz showed me where this place was and I thought it would be a nice place to investigate. Since in the woods there is a old well, small stone hut and a couple of foundations made out of stone. At one time maybe old rest was a place for weary travelers to stop during a cold winter.

It is very old probably early 1800s and this is the land of the Seneca Indians so whether you visit old rest or you visit any place in these woods there is always going to be something supernatural. Perhaps the park police thought we were crazy taking photos out there or maybe not? Perhaps even Sasquatch roams at old rest and why? Because he knows the rangers will not hunt him or perhaps he is safer from the public in this area. So there are many theories that could keep your mind wandering when visiting the foundations of Old Rest.

Update:

Old Rest is actually called Old Irish Town. It was at one time booming between the 1800s and 1930s. Throughout various trails you will see plenty of stone foundations, wells, a bridge, hut, and they even say a cemetery which were all part of this town. That is about all the information I can give you. But what makes this even more unique is that this was our first actual ghost town investigation and we did not even know it:)
