The Chautauqua Belle Steamboat is a replica of
the steamboats that were used at the time when big hotels, carnivals,
trolleys had existed a 100 years ago. The Chautauqua Bell has been in
service for 27 years and is one of the only few operating steamboats east
of the Mississippi still in operation. The giant paddle wheel, steamboat
whistle and smoke stacks give it that old fashioned type of feeling. The
steamboat now is used for tours, wedding receptions and special events
such a parties and watching fireworks on board. This is the type of
steamboat where you can take your sweetheart to sit back over the water
and kiss. In my eyes it is perfect.
But who would ever think that this steamboat is haunted? I mean seriously a haunted steamboat? But we wanted to investigate it and find out. It does turn out that this steamboat has ghost on board peaceful yes but they are there. What entity would not want to spend its afterlife here. This steamboat is a place of joy and happiness. It is a place where kids board it all excited to ride on board and people get married and cruise around on it all over the lake. Has there been any deaths associated with this steamboat? It is possible 27 years of service will come with the accidents such as fatal drownings, falling and hitting your head, Ect. None the less we were very fortunate to have a chance to visit and board the vessel. As we love ships and trains this truly was a treat that came with the spooks. © By Rick-AngelOfThyNight |
