Tonight's investigation did prove to be one of our more interesting nights. I first off want to thank Sam for coming on out with us to investigate things are really starting to come together for our group here. Tonight started off with it raining very hard but that's the story of this winter either its snowing or sleeting but no matter we really were excited about checking out the North Grain elevators and Elmwood cemetery.

We headed then for Elmlawn Cemetery which is one of the oldest and Largest in the Buffalo/Kenmore area. The reason why this cemetery was chosen is that it is known for its ghost lights and moving balls of light and I can see why. The cemetery is a lot different from many others I have visited. Its headstones are mixed with old burials and new, some soldiers are buried there from the War of 1812 including a plot with Gettysburg soldiers. Not many angel statues or large monuments it has a very old school look to it. The activity was very minor at first but one thing that stands out is the crooked large trees that cover most of this cemetery. We walked almost to one end of the cemetery and there was very little or no activity but some movement near one of the headstones that Sam seen however near the Crematory Pete mentioned seeing a black figure near some pine trees although I could not see it when I walked up near that area I felt something standing there. We starting retracing our paths and both Sam and Pete multiple times seen a figure following us but keeping its distance. I seen a very odd bright light it was reddish in color very fast moving and caught some glimpses of movement. We then got to a very open area in the distance was a medieval type of seen thrones etc but about 300 feet away Pete mentioned to me seeing movement at first I did not see it but then after looking it was quite clear there was a Figure moving away from us near some trees. You could see legs moving and it seemed to be pretty solid black in color. We kept our eyes on it and still were able to follow its movements upon getting about 150 feet from the moving figure it seemed to disappear nothing was found but all 3 of us did see it. It seemed to be tall so we know it was not some piece of garbage rolling on the ground. I did take lots of digitals in this cemetery but only a couple came out 2 of those I will say are pretty interesting ectoplasm photos one seems to be half of a mans face I captured there. I did notice lots of fresh burials so that might explain the curious shadow following off in the distance perhaps its a lost soul they have no idea they are passed away and they are just curious as to who we are that's just a theory.

All in all it was a good investigation we got 2 places done both places had activity and just looking at the digital photos i took both places have ghost or some sort of phenomena. It was a great first investigation for Sam with our group and we will in the future visit both places again. I will try and get the photos ASAP as i can developed. The digitals came out pretty promising so I know our others have as well.

Above is the same MASS of ectoplasm. To make it easier I have broke it down into 4 separate photos which the original face and an outline. There seems to 4 different male faces in this mass and to the top left something demonic in nature when I mirror the image since ghost and demons do not always get into the whole photo. The faces are very noticeable if you study them you can clearly see eyes, nose, mouths etc.

Subj: [Paranormalghostsociety] SAM'S REPORT FROM LAST NIGHT

Hi Sam here and this is a quick report about my first investigation with Rick
and Pete. I'm new at this, so it will be a brief one.

Elmlawn Cemetery

This cemetery is very old and very big. I don't know the history of this
cemetery but was very impressed with the activity there. all through this
cemetery we were being followed and watched by a black shadow. We felt it as
soon as we walked in. Peter's EMF meter went off a few time here, and I can
see why, do to being followed by this black shadow. Now I couldn't turn on
the light to the video camera because we didn't want to be noticed by anyone.
So most of my footage here is in night vision. I did catch movement from this
black shadow while I was filming! And was very excited about it. We continued
through looking at some very old head stones dating back to the late 1700 `s
and early 1800 `s. There was only a hand full of large statues and this
surprised me. Most cemeteries have them. We had this uneasy feeling of being
watched  and kept catching movement in the distance. This spirit was very shy
and seemed to just want to watch and see what we were doing. We also heard
noises of someone following us. We would stop and check to see but nothing
ever was there. Pete was getting strong feelings all through this cemetery.
At the end we spotted a figure that seemed to be walking away from us and we
followed it. You could actually see the thing walking away from use followed
it and it seemed to disappear near some Masonic statues and pine trees. There
was a strong feeling of being watched here and Rick took some PICS, while
Pete walked around trying to figure out where it went. That is when he found
the freshly covered grave. We had walked through the whole cemetery and it
was time to leave. I truly had an exciting experience and seen things for the
first time. I'm grateful that the spirits in the cemetery allowed me to see
them and will never forget it. I can t wait till the next investigation. But
on a sad note, when I got home and reviewed the video tape at the time where
I caught the movement, well the video camera went out of focus and everything
went blurry. I m so mad! I `ll never use a video camera again unless I `m
recording an investigation and was asked to by Rick.

If you've read Rick and Sam's reports from last night, they've
covered it all.   This is a very strange
cemetery.  Many of the graves had been re-located here from other
sites early in Buffalo's history.  Also, there was a very large
amount of fresh graves.  That was kind of intimidating.  As Sam said,
I had many feelings while we were there.  This is something I have
been consciously working at, and I'm proud to say that it seems to be
working.  At first, I did not notice the shadow that followed us for
the whole night.  But, I knew it was there, I could feel it, and
actually knew where it was.  As the night went on, I slowly began
suggesting that we go in certain directions due to my feelings.  I
began to notice that I could catch movement in my peripheral vision
and pointed it out to the others.  Then, we all could see it.
Shortly before we left, we were all able to see a full, dark figure
walking.  We tried to head towards it, but it was moving in the
opposite direction.  When Rick was reloading his camera, I walked
around to the place we had seen it.  There were no footprints in the
snow!  And, there was a fresh grave right there.
So, we had an interesting evening.  The cemetery deserves a return
visit.  Sam did a great job, and is a welcome participant on any
investigation I go on in the future.  I'm glad he joined, he will be
a great member.
