Wiccademonous
Grave
This was perhaps an urban legend we were chasing but it was fun so we
eventually reached the general area the grave was supposed to be. We
parked the car and started our hike into the woods.
We went down this path and it ended at a ravine which we climbed down into
and water was flowing. It was very cold and something touched me gently.
As a ghostbuster you just know these things lol. But there was a presence
down here and everybody stayed up at the top except for Jason. We did not
find a path unless we followed the steep hill side which was full of
poison ivy.
We walked back up and tried to find another path which most seemed to go
in circles. I did not feel to out of the ordinary but the woods were very
gloomy. I found it quite odd to see such an odd to see paths that led to a
steep ravine below some with cliff like drop offs.
After awhile we took a path which led us to a huge circle with benches
surrounding what appeared to be a fire pit. I thought maybe this was the
Wiccademous Grave which is supposed to be this stone with an old oak tree
in front of it. But the trees did not match but this area looked like
maybe witchcraft had been practiced at.
We went further down a path and took another thin one which came out to a
dirt road. Further up this dirt road we seen a giant stone in front of a
fallen oak tree. I studied the fallen tree and it was an old oak that fell
and was rotting. The stone was not a grave marker but I found it odd to
see in the middle of the woods. This stone was about 4 x 4 feet and was
made of concrete with lots of markings in it meaning it was very
weathered.
We did not hear the strange booming noises, Wiccademous, or odd sounds let
alone a water pipe which echoes. We did not have nightmares of her and we
did not get followed home. Sometimes kids find a place and follow local
stories some have truth some do not but nothing was out of the ordinary.
We heard water trickling from the creek, seen what was a concrete stone
not a grave, and a oak tree which was not even standing.
I did however feel followed and the girls did to. Something was with us
the whole time and we did go back down into the ravine later down the
trail where it led us to a bridge eventually and an old wood trestle
nearby. The area appears to be very preserved but I feel that there is
more historic significance to the area maybe someone lived back here or
something. The area is owned by the high school and they use the land as a
nature study. The bridge that went over the river led to some island who I
am sure much more remains to be explored.
Eventually we took the dirt road back which led us to our car it was a
quiet area. I heard maybe movement one time but most of the area had
moving ice cold spots and a feeling of one strong presence maybe it is
Wiccademous but the real mystery is if a young witch died lets say in the
woods what is her real name that's a greater mystery then the strong
energy here and so we moved on to our next locations which was the Old
Nassau County Jailhouse.

We do have one more ghost photo taken near the
grave unfortunately the investigator did not submit the photo to me and
quit the team. That is one reason why her face is blurred out currently on
the prologue page. The photo was that of a face of a man near the old oak
where the witch is said to be buried. I did see it briefly and it was an
apparition definitely but I do not have the photo.
