Built in 1865 St. Johns Evangelical Cemetery runs along a creek and is roughly 5 to 10 acres in size. I do not have alot of information on this place although it does contain probably over 1500 burials easily. The oldest section is in very poor condition as most of the 1800 stones lay on the ground, tipped over or broke. The cemetery belongs to St Johns Evangelical church and this is the type of cemetery which is a place you could jog on a sunny day. There is a lot of large oak trees and even a little hike/bike trail in the back of it. It is one of those cemeteries that looks small then you realize that it goes very far back.

This cemetery was not planned to be a part of our investigations however driving past it twice I figured it would do no harm to take a walk around. I found this cemetery to be much more active then the other 2 in the area. Maybe because there is more burials? Maybe because it is closer to an old pioneer cemetery which have tall tales of ghost stories of its own. One of my favorite things about this cemetery is this giant angel statue you can even see it from afar. It was dedicated from Broadway Paving to a woman and a family.

I found this cemetery to have alot of activity as a man runs to hide behind a tree, as My son was being followed when walking and the ghost are a little less shy here. We spent alot of time here and found it to be a very interesting place. The ghost for some reason though will only stay in the back of the cemetery unlike most cemeteries we visit I can get them all the way to our vehicle. It seems they are happy where they are at or perhaps confused? The trails behind the cemetery may even be more haunted then the cemetery.
