Spring Creek Cemetery is a very active paranormal hotspot for ghost of the early settlers. There is one hill in it and most of the area is surrounded by woods. It is a beautiful area during the day the pretty creek that runs near it and Buffalo that roam the pasture near by really give it that pioneer feel. But at night the place looks very different. We probably took more paranormal photos then prologue pictures as we found out that the ghost here enjoy having there pictures taken. Based on my research I found out the real name for this cemetery is called turn pike cemetery perhaps because there is a road that splits off into a Y nearby. This place sits on a dirt road and of course probably has some of the carter family buried there from the farmstead near by.

I am certain e Haupin Farmstead Home to Female Assisting Society member Catherine Clark Haupin who raised her family on this farm was buried here as well.  So as you can see a lot of the local farmstead owners have came to rest here. Perhaps even many of the other Haupin family members who once worked raising animals, growing crops and living a very peaceful farming life. Just as they probably were peaceful in the physical world they are as peaceful in there ghostly form and very hospitable to receive someone who wants to know more about them.

The whole area is old at one time slaves took these roads looking for underground railroads and salvation at some of the nearby farming communities. So this place dates back to the civil war period and one thing you can tell is it does get a lot of visitors despite its locations. Many stones have flags even one stone is a teddy bear where a child was recently laid to rest. As you get towards the older areas the stones start to lean or they are broke in half. There is also these odd trees that are real thin and tall in the entrance to the cemetery. If you ever visiting a cemetery out in the country imagine this and of course it can be real eerie at night when truly you are walking its dirt roads in the pitch black of night.
