Riverfront Veterans Memorial Park was established in 1933 for the Veterans of the various wars of WWI & WWII. Many of the patriotic events that take place such as on the 4th of July here. Its a really nice park with memorial bricks, a playground, fishing wall, boat ramp, pier which was destroyed by the hurricanes, picnic tables and a very small monument under some old trees.

The park sits along the Halifax River and like most places in the area this one has a story or two to tell. I unfortunately had gotten this park mixed up with another haunted park in the area but yet it still worked out in our favor that there is some energy here as well as a gloomy feeling. This park is very close to the Freemanville Settlement which is just a couple miles up the road and also sits in Daytona's Historical District so all the houses surrounding it our southern mansions or very large homes.

I feel that the playground is haunted and there is a lot of energy surrounding the monument perhaps that has to say something about how ghost work. Maybe these are messages that a child ghost roams the park or that one of the veterans watches over its monument. This park is real pleasant and perhaps one day we will visit it again to learn more about what lurks within the darkness.
