The Red House Inn was erected in 1825 it is a very old part of history. Imagine almost 200 years of history as in the 1800s travelers came to this inn to spend a night and share some ale and now in our day and age tourist come here to share a meal or sit at the bar watching deer roam around this beautiful scenic area.

Most old taverns are haunted as you here about them in England about them tavern ghost that are seen in the wine cellars, or in the kitchen when the workers are cleaning up. We knew this place was a good find as we captured some entities outside. There are feelings of being watched, cold areas inside the tavern, and of course a history to go with it all.

Its not a very big inn a kitchen, bar area, small restaurant, and then a upstairs with a couple rooms. The place no longer seems to allow travelers to spend the  night since tables are upstairs where a diner can enjoy a meal looking out the window. But at one time you could tell that it was a place where a traveler could drink a brew and spend the night. Perhaps it is just a happy warm place that maybe that is why the ghost stay around. I am sure over the years even some have passed on such as the owners over the years.

Across the street the barn is equally haunted perhaps at one time they had cows or chickens so they could cook eggs, and get fresh milk. The red house inn is always open all year whether it would be to the unseen and guess of the departed or us folks who just want to enjoy a good ole beer in the mountains.
