Subj: My Exploration Of "Palmetto Nevada" Oct. 4th 2011

Generally rather then post my reports public I have been just posting them directly onto our website when we do our updates. However this place is just to good not to share with everyone along with my good news.

On October 4th I had to be in court in Las Vegas to finalize my custody for my son. My journey would be full of events as I told Tammy if after court I had time I would at least try to visit a ghost town. NV is full of ghost towns they are found everywhere including in the middle of desolation.

Tammy and I passed by Palmetto and even an old farmstead but we just didn't have the time on our way up. I told Tammy that if court went well on our way back we would stop here maybe have dinner or hike around.  I almost hit some cattle passing by they are everywhere so ill include a couple photos of my encounter.

The ride to Vegas was almost 8 hours I had hit a monster storm as I headed further south into the Mojave. The storm was so bad a truck swerved onto my lane and almost ran me off the road. I was just relieved to make it to Duncan Doughnuts which by the way pissed me off. Trust me I was making a scene Tammy was sitting low in her chair eating her bagel meanwhile I was scraping off mounds of butter and swearing like a sailor.

Afterwards we went to Jerry's Silver Nugget we went there to play some slots to pass time and actually came out ahead. This paid for us to have dinner have court so that worked out well. The part that didn't work well is what happened after at the casino which I will not talk about here as this is only an unrevised report. I will however add to this report once its finalized:) Just let me say that casino is the worst one I ever been to in Vegas. They treat there customers like shit, the women are tooth picks and security can kiss my ass. If you have tits expect the red carpet treatment if you are hung and swung forget it you do not stand a chance. Although I hear the prime rib is great that casino is on crack id rather jump in a volcano then ever set foot there again!!!

You see we hit a small jackpot it wasn't much and they tried to say that the ticket we gave them from the machine was a fake refusing to give us the money. Even though the machines computer reported that this was the amount the bar code probably was being misread therefore the casino tried to screw us. Then to make matters worst Tammy and I entered the casino to change our clothes for court. The security guard let her pass to go change and kicked me out. So I got pissed off since I was a customer at the casino changed in the parking lot in front of everyone serves them right. I never heard of a casino refusing business because you want to wear a suit but that casino technically has allot of crack heads in it and is in a bad section of town. That is why they will never have my business again and I am sure after a few hundred of my friends read this they will never give this place business either.

After many hearings and putting up with all the mishaps the custody for my little boy is finalized thus when my heart is happy I do some of my finest work plain and simple. When I called him after court he was probably more excited then I would be if Bigfoot gave me a piggy back ride on Devils peak seriously! We were very happy with the results as Jarrod can now live with me through his years without ever having to live in Vegas again. So I feel as if a chapter in my life is now over where I can now focus more on my groups and work. When I am not being a paranormal investigator I am being a dad and this truly is who I am born to be.

I spent three years dealing with this not to mention all the cost of traveling etc and spending time working on my sons case this summer along with my lawyer we can now say its done. So with that in mind we can now focus more on The Paranormal & Ghost Society and not having to make trips to Las Vegas.

I was so eager to go to Dunkin Doughnuts I just love there coffee and supposedly they have good bagels according to Tammy. We went in found out that there was only one bagel left I had gotten the last one. It couldn't have anything to do with fact the girl was about 400lbs and looked like she ate the profit here seriously. What restaurant runs out of bagels in the morning seriously! So I tell the cashier no sour cream well guess what I go take a piss from the long drive come out of the bathroom and so much sour cream piled 3 inches high that I knew this was a personal attack it had to be. I took it back to them that is when they scraped it off and slapped a huge scoop of butter on them nothing but a bunch of assholes.

Anyhow court was offer so we went to go get a burger before leaving Las Vegas. When we left Vegas to come home I found some remnants of a mining town up near Beatty. I actually drove the car down this old mining road only to find out the area was fenced off so I decided to focus on another location we found while traveling down to Vegas earlier that morning. Everytime I drive from the Carson Valley to Vegas I discover more and more places that I want to explore. Hell I found some cool places out near Yosemite to check out and we eventually will in future years to come so we hope our viewers look forward to all the great things happening here.

I will also say that the airlines industry sucks balls! I found tickets to the Bahamas for a 120 dollars the other night. Yet the airport wanted to charge me over 300 dollars to fly for 45 mins to Las Vegas thus I drove instead. That way I could try and take advantage of maybe finding something that we could explore and add to our site. Its strange how earlier in the day there was major storms but on the road home I passed by a massive of rainbow over the mountains.

This place we chose to explore would be Palmetto a very secluded ghost town on a lonely stretch of road with views of Yosemite 50 miles off in the distance and a vast overgrown desert. It is very eerie out in this part of the desert there are no towns just scenery. Prior to entering this area I had passed what appeared to be a brother talk about an eerie place just a trailer with a bunch of junk surrounding it and a big sign basically stating come get laid here. It might also be the last piece of ass you ever get lol anyhow we finally arrived./

Palmetto Nevada

When we arrived here the sun was going down really quick. I was a bit disappointed about this factor so all I could do is video and photograph what I could. I did not get to see the entire town but I would get to tour an old stone building, various foundations and crawl into a giant stone furnace that was constructed of stones.

The temperature outside was very cold and it was windy. I was dressed for summer as Vegas was fairly warm however a couple hundred miles north of it and it seemed like we were in another world.

Tammy took off her dress from court so while she was changing I made a video and took a bunch of photos. I didn't have all my gear on me so I didn't do much paranormal investigating. However this place was to good not to explore. I already had my suit off I was gearing for some exploring I wasn't dressed heavy enough though and it was cold. You could tell from watching my video that I took around the town site.

Not to far from here cattle and horses run free as we seen them in the evening too in this region. Some of them were just outside of the ghost town just to give you an idea of the desolation that surrounds this place.

Out in the middle of the desert I found a two story building which I went to photograph. We smelled this awful odor as we hiked through a bunch of sage brush and other foliage. I have to admit the foliage here is very thick some of it almost as tall as me so climbing through this shit scraped up my legs pretty good.

There was another building off further into the desert but without a spot light and with it getting dark there was no way to get to it in time. The buildings had no windows or doors they were just shells of stone withering away as the wind hollowed through them.

By the time I reached Tammy she was changed and we climbed this hill where many foundations as well as walls were built into tiers along this hillside. I had found the furnace which was this tunnel less then three feet wide and about five feet tall and over fifty feet deep. By the time I made my way to the very end of the inside of the tunnel I had reached a giant rats nest talk about feeling out of place. It was so narrow I almost could not turn around however I have to admit I enjoyed every minute of it.

The different tiers of the hillside had foundations made of stone and everything was crumbling. There was a historic plaque where we parked which explained that this was a short lived mining camp that had a mill. I assume that what we climbed was the mill since I entered into a furnace. Above that furnace on the hill I could see miles off into the desert and various canyons. I seen a couple old plotted streets from back when the town existed also from above where some of them go its hard to say perhaps they lead to more foundations which were covered by brush and Joshua trees.

I took Tammy through the thick brush where we went inside the crumbling building which believe it or not shielded out the wind. I would have taken EVP's but the wind was a real bummer within the ghost town. As a matter in fact it was so icy cold here and the winds were very strong. Those that do not believe the desert gets cold trust me it can drop to freezing temperatures and you can die. Lucky for us we had an awesome Charger which was great for driving across the open desert and allot of supplies in the vehicle just in case.

I also toked one at the site to celebrate all the wonderful things that occurred like knowing my son will be safe with me and have an opportunity to enjoy such sites together in the future. I believe that everyone should at least visit a few ghost towns in there time to try and understand how history has worked for thousands of years. Civilizations come and sometimes large communities thrive then one day they crumble. What once was hardly looks anything like it does today in Palmetto I am sure but to see its stone walls and buildings leaves your mind wandering as to what this place once looked like back in the day.

It was getting dark it was a little eerie out here all we could see surrounding us is dark shadows created by the desert mountains on every side of us. The desert brush was also very thick here so anything could be living or hiding up in it which made it all the more intimidating to hike back to the car. Its truly amazing how one week I am up in the woods hiking and another I am in the middle of the desert. That perhaps is what the wild west is all about and Palmetto is as alluring as is it strange!

I believe that good things happen to good people and that things have a way of working out. How many paranormal investigators can say they went to family court in a suit then a couple hours later they are off hiking in the desert exploring a ghost town? I considered my day to be one filled with so many great things. I was able to hike in a ghost town and toke in it. We won at the casino which paid for some of our gas and dinner. The court hearing went well and now I know my sons fate for the future. That he can enjoy the wild west and that I will not have to pay out thousands of dollars to travel to and from Vegas again. So now that I can leave that behind me Palmetto serves as a reminder of all the great things that are to come from our society and the future!

When we left the area we hit another storm later at night it was raining and by the next day most of Western NV was hit with an early October snow storm that came right over the high sierras. There is never a dull moment living out west that is for sure.

When I arrived home I tucked my kids on in I was so exhausted I had been up almost 24 hours. Tammy and I we worked hard if we were going to pay to travel out to Vegas then we certainly wanted to be able to make use of it by giving our viewers another great exploration. Where one journey ends a new one begins!  Till this day it still amazes me at how many secrets and pieces of history that remain withering in the Nevada desert.  This was also our first October spooky exploration and as some of you know every year we do a series of special eerie locations this time of year. Wait till you see some of the upcoming places we are going to do. We will rock the paranormal world and we hope you will rock us with all your support for our hard work.

This anomaly is just that an anomaly we have no idea what it is or why the inside of it is hollowed out in the center. There are paranormal anomalies which absolutely have no explanation at all this may just be this instance.

Red energy can be a sign of paranormal activity sometimes its just a camera fluke. We took a few photos of this structure while I stood in it didnt produce any further results like these.
