Page Jackson Cemetery
We did not realize at first this was a different cemetery. But in my head I said to myself this cannot be Lakeview Cemetery only because we went from a well maintained section of graveyard to a place full of high grass, twisted wreaths, rusted rod iron, and many upper burials. There was no pillar stones like the other section of the cemetery. Their was a patch of dirt back here with some fresh burials the ground was very soft.
We kept walking through the woods it was pretty dark and many trees were on top of various grave stones. We found these signs up around here that stated a reward would be offered if we knew about this crime. I assume the crime is that this cemetery was demolished. It look like someone came back here with a sledge hammer and literally crushed dozens of stones. You could tell that the stones were vandalized but also the fact remains that the cemetery was abandoned.
There was area with grass almost all the way up to my waist and it was hard to see. Many occasions I was stepping on gravestones because they were buried under dirt barely visible.
We kept walking and found a dirt road which led us to an area with many newer stones and upper burials. We are not sure if this was another new cemetery the area was just so huge. So we went back into the woods in the older section. We did not see any stones for awhile and finding stones around here was like a needle in a haystack.
One of the upper burials the lid was removed almost exposing the coffin. We did not see a body or coffin but with the lid off it was only a few inches down covered by dirt. It was horrible back in this section of the woods. I mean I do not even have a word to describe these grave stones.
We walked up to this one area where their had to be a pile of at least 30 wreaths all mangled, twisted, with pieces of grave stones just scattered sitting on logs, sticking out of the ground, laying down.
The activity back here was enormous and James seen a figure walking out in front of us along the area where the woods became really think. We stopped then I had us walk towards where we seen the figure. I could hear movement and I sensed something very close by. Our alert senses were high at this point it was us in the woods and something was their with us.
Where the figure was sighted we came to an area full of many wood crosses. So we knew this was a very old cemetery as many wood crosses were very rotted and hidden in brush. I personally did not like this area and we stood still. I heard something walking around us actually we all heard it. Something was pacing around and it was watching us. I sensed it was not to friendly but it also was not necessarily evil but if we were alone I can assure you it would not
hesitate to act.
We kept walking through thorns and high brush and came back out into Lake View Cemetery. It felt as if we were in hell I mean imagine seeing fenced in plots where the fencing was all twisted and mangled. When we came out onto the road we found the sign that said Page Jackson Cemetery and it was obvious that something happened here because this cemetery was bad real bad. It was also the most active compared to the other cemeteries.
We eventually took the road on up through Lake View and All Souls Catholic Cemetery. I looked to our left seen an angel statue and some memorials so we cut to our left and that became our fifth cemetery of the evening called Sanford Evergreen Cemetery.
