Oriskany Battlefield State Historic Site
On our way to the great Fort Stanwix I almost stopped here but then after passing by Mark and I said we could catch this place on our way back which we did after eating dinner. We parked in front of the 100 foot tall monument made out of stones and walked onto the rolling battlefield. It was brutal here I have never been that cold none of us could feel our hands the whole area was like ice. We noticed around the battle field were different postings describing what occurred in certain areas. We took a few photos got some high EMF readings around the battle field itself then we headed back to the van to drive to another location.
The second location we visited was the other side of the battlefield through some woods. We visited a large burial area and this area was much more calmer no wind, no coldness very mild. I heard a loud noise come from the woods like someone stepped on a branch none the less I felt watched since it was pretty far back that we were taking photos at. We went for a little hike in the woods different trails have different historical markings that you can read about the soldiers that marched through
Ect. The trails really were eerie even during the day here. We crossed a bridge over a creek then eventually turned around. Hidden in some high grass was a
tunnel but it was so high and wet the battlefield already made us to cold to check it out so we left the area quietly and came to the conclusion that at night the activity here must be beyond our imaginations. As most battle fields at night you really can come out with some good photography. We then decided to head off to check out a church. Of course that was a no go since the church we could not find and the one we found we were checking out to see if perhaps the name changed and I got into a huge argument with some lady who worked for the church haha in front of the whole neighborhood. I swear people see a man with tattoos they think your out to get them. But that was okay because I was happy just to walk around the church and enjoy the old architecture. So we decided to head off to one of our biggest challenges the damned Utica Lunatic Asylum.
