The Orange City Mount Zion A.M.E. Church was established 1889 when the first pastor provided services by the name of R.L. Spencer. The services were held in a blacksmith shop next to the black school just a few blocks a way. Then they eventually they moved the church to its present location. A new sanctuary was built here in 1916.

The small wooden church also has an eerie feeling. The stained glass windows are protected by fiber glass sheets and it still remains fairly secluded from the rest of Orange Cities Historical structures. Lee who lives their tells me their is alot of energy too the place with all them events that take place it can be quite a vibrant place at times. So their is no doubt that at least something of the unknown remains to be seen here!
