Incorporated in 1892 Oakdale Cemetery is split in 2 sections one of them is full of rolling hills, palms, sandy dunes and a woodsy terrain. This will always be a special investigation in my heart because it is the first haunted location I visited since moving to Florida and honestly I was very nervous. I was not sure what the ghost would think or how the geometric energy would affect the entities around here since Florida is warmer and sunnier then NY state. 

Lets talk a little bit about the Hauntings here first off the potters fields are not to far away from here #1 including a hospital where many deaths have occurred. Secondly many famous people in the area are buried here alot of locals probably are not aware of this since most pass by cemeteries and never really research them such as our organization does. Lastly it is one of the largest cemeteries in Deland or most cemeteries in Volusia County. There is everything from a raped woman who haunts this cemetery to a pirate from the Spaniard days where pirates ruled these beaches.

As far as who is buried here lets talk about a few for example BAKER, JAMES R., Sgt., CLARK, CLAUDE D., Pvt.,  and WRIGHT, FRANK B., Sgt. who fought in the Spanish American war. Maybe you have not heard of them however even though that war was short it was very bloody. Then we have Lou Gim Gong who came to America when he was 12 years old. He was known as the Citrus wizard since he was known for the development of oranges how to protect them from frost. He was the only citrus farmer to have one a medal with an orange from the department of Agriculture in 1911. His famous Lou Gim Gong orange would ripen early in September and sit on the tree for 4 years and still be good. Then the first mayor of Lake Helen is also buried here. So these are just a few mentions that are permanent guest in the cemetery. We will go back here a few times to development relationships with some of the entities that way we can bring you some ghostly photos of some of these prominent people.
