Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Cemetery has got to be in my opinion one of most haunted cemeteries in Volusia county. Since we were honestly one of the first organizations to document its Hauntings we perhaps experienced the activity here full force. But before we talk about the Hauntings here lets talk about the cemetery itself.

The oldest stone here is that of Addie Daugharty which was a 4 year old child who perished in 1886. Then in 1887 another family member from the Daughharty family passed away. Many of the stones are very separated or off in secluded areas. I thought this was strange as this is a private family owned cemetery yet you had family members spread to various parts of the cemetery at times one little stone hundreds of feet off. Some stones here are buried in Ivy and tree moss as the entire cemetery is covered by weeping willows which giant banana spiders enjoy nesting around. But what you have here is the Daugharty family's daughters husbands family, then there children's family so you have roughly three generations buried here.

The cemetery has a giant gazebo with two stone benches each one stands for a burial here it was quite impress perhaps was the highlight of the cemetery. But maybe it was the giant trees which gave it a European type of feeling. Some of the other families buried here are the Yelvington, Peacock, Culp, and Lee Families. There is a few children stones including one from a few years ago of a little girl with her photo embedded on the stone.

Now lets talk about this cemeteries horrors a little bit. In my opinion this may be the most haunted cemetery in Volusia County FL. Perhaps it is because there is many variables which have led to my conclusion. First off we have a phantom which seems to move around the cemetery it just says NO and it does not stop all you can hear is its low town carrying out very long moaning the word No. Secondly there is a lady here who is very angry she seems to want to be left alone. Then last of all you have other various activities such as moving cold spots, branches breaking, screams and feelings of being watched. This cemetery seems very angry and visiting here even startled our team. But we must ask ourselves why is this cemetery so haunted?

Could it be the fact that its a family owned cemetery so perhaps its the fact that the cemetery is only open to a select few but as other members of my team stated they felt as if the people buried here did not chose this place or were not happy due to unknown reasons. There is only one house which sits up the road here so this cemetery is also very secluded there is a lot of woods here. It is very very dark almost so black you cannot see in front of your face no more then a few feet in front of you since the cemetery sits in a valley. The ivy surrounds the cemeteries fencing and most stones seem to  be rather worn, missing, or forgotten. This place is terrifying!
