Within the old Spanish Quarter village is an old Grist Mill with a water mill built in the 1800s and today it still works. I do not have alot of historical information I can give you but this pub really brings back memories perhaps of what you would see in Europe. The tavern sits above the grist mill hence the name called the Mill Top Tavern. The pub has live music, open air dining, wood floors and tables. There are also rumors of it being haunted those stories I do not know however from our own investigation you can clearly see there is alot of energy surrounding this place. The Mill Top Tavern was rated as the number one pub in the state of Florida perhaps because you have this historical pub that is able to operate as it did in the 1800s in a cozy atmosphere. The old grist mill sits very close to some of the most well haunted locations around St. Augustine places like the Old City Gates, Fort Castillo, The Old School House and Tolomato Cemetery. It would be no wonder this tavern would also have some sort of activity. © By Rick-AngelOfThyNight In accordance with Title 17 U.S.C.
