Marks Corners Cemetery is a little rural cemetery that most likely gets very few visits. The cemetery is privately owned by a few families who have used it for a few generations since 1856. Some of the family plots you will see here are New House, Neckers and Belden. All the family plots are kept separately as you might have one generation with the husband and wife buried next to there children then next to that plot is the same family name with that generations burials. So what we are looking at is a very family orientated cemetery. If most of the family has perished that would mean that they do not get visitors often sad to say so perhaps us stopping here made this place a hidden paranormal treasure. Although 150 years later the family still resides in the area.

There are a few unmarked stones perhaps many of these families could not afford stones or maybe over time they became worn and buried within the ground. But you will see things on various stones like one says gone to rest, another one has a poem on it,  and even one with a military flag on it probably from WWI. So now we know there is some history here. For such a small cemetery there is a lot of children buried here. This almost makes it sad to see as many children as adults buried here. Despite the fact that there is only about 50 burials here and its size this cemetery is flourishing with activity. Branches breaking, what appears to be voices, movement going past you Ect are just a few of the things that occurred here.

What makes such a small cemetery so haunted though? This should make your mind wander a little. Lets face it larger cemeteries get a lot of visitors, people, activity through out the day. But a cemetery in the country gets very few visitors if any at all and perhaps just those few minutes that we spend at such a place gives the ghost a sense of happiness. We did find this place accidentally but we are pleased that we managed to get a story on it. It is possible that this is older then what the records say but no matter the age there are ghost in this one acre cemetery.
