Last night was a real amazing investigation as we headed out to the
historic city of Leesburg. It was a night of adventure, ghost, crazy
occurrences, danger and even obstacles. If I was a movie producer I
probably could have produced a movie from our excursion. We have had a
busy month and to finish off the month of January we brought you chiller
investigations of Lonesome Oak Cemetery, Leesburg Train Station, Paisley
Forest and an second investigation of Ponceannah Cemetery.
It was a real nice night some fog on some of the country roads and most of
the stars were out except for the moon. We had other places we were
supposed to investigate however they turned out to be no go's
unfortunately. A lot of work went into this investigation as Jason, Ariel
and myself ventured into the heart of Central Florida's most eerie places.
We started off having a sea food dinner last night and headed on out much
earlier then usual and so our journey begins here.
Lonesome
Oak Cemetery
Originally we had plans to find a cemetery in a ghost town which was down
by one of Florida's largest lakes in the state. But after driving down
various dark roads we were unable to find its remnants and we moved onto
to Lonesome Oak.
When we arrived at the cemetery it just had a real dismal feeling. There
were these large wrought iron gates and tall stone pillars. You could see
many giant trees draping many of the graves and it was very dark inside.
Even from the road we could see many aged stones tipped or broken.
We entered the cemetery and focused our investigation in the historical
section. As soon as we entered it was very cold. I did not have to see a
sign to know it was historical as many stones were extremely old. One of
the upper burials was cracked in half almost exposing the coffin, another
one was leaning up against a tree and for a few hundred feet their was
hundreds of early settler stones of Leesburg.
Ariel mentioned seeing many different ghost here she said most of them
were dark black shadows trying to run away from us. She also mentioned
seeing a few ghost peer around some of the gravestones just to see who we
were. It was quite interesting cause I did at one time hear some movement
as if something was running around.
Eventually we made our way to a historical chapel and school house within
the cemetery. It was very small but was built in the 1800's. I felt fairly
watched in this area and by this point we could hear an owl hooting off in
the distance.
It was not that it was an active cemetery but walking in the historical
section which sort of reminded me of a old European type of burial grounds
really was an interesting experience.
Eventually I did find a monument which oddly was supposed to be in another
cemetery near by so I do believe that some of the graves came from the
other cemetery nearby which ill explain in the next report.
After we made our way out of the cemetery we stopped at this real creepy
laundry mat to use the bathroom. Jason voice activated flashlight has
eerie sounds and voices so he was playing that to scare Ariel lol. We took a
break talked about the cemetery a little bit then made our way back to the
car only to visit the Leesburg Train Station.
