The Lancaster Post office is a historical landmark  There was two post offices that have existed in Lancaster one of them existed a century ago and with all the fires and changes throughout Lancaster one of them was moved to its current building in 1938 and good thing it did. Because in 1954 the old post office building caught fire from another building near by. When Clarence owned most of Lancaster the post office was called in the 1830s the Cayuga Post Office eventually during that time it was renamed to Lancaster so the post office had alot to do with the name of the village it is in today.

Where the post office was erected today many fires had occurred before hand and so over the course of years before 1938 the area faced some flooding, fires, buildings that burnt down. Deaths may or may not have occurred but it is in the haunted district of town and our investigation proves that there is something lurking in the shadows here.

I decided to investigate this post office due to the fact that my PO Box for our organization was here and on numerous nights I felt watched and some nights I heard doors slamming, furniture moving and noises I cannot explain. I found this to be true again on our investigation here. There is chairs that move around, loud bangs, doors slamming. The post office also is very large it has the postmasters office, 2 other offices, a giant mail room, and a basement.

This post office is very colonial looking with the old lamps, tower on the roof, red brick and square windows. It really makes your mind wander what it would be like 60 years ago to pick up your mail here after a meal at the diner and a wave to Peggy Sue. But who would ever think it is haunted the ghost here are very friendly enough to pose for me in every area the mail boxes, the front, and near my 200th place sign.

Update:

I received an email from a lady who claims back in the 1970s to always feel watched here. She said her grandfather was the POST  MASTER GENERAL there for many years before she was born and his sister worked there as well. She said he died in 1976 from a major heart attack but died at home. She says she feels the spirits there are friendly and one of them is her grandfather probably. She said his name was Robert F Ball and his sister was Rita Mikols. She also has family buried at St. Mary's Cemetery a burial ground we worked with allot when we first started our organization.
