Lakeview Cemetery is surrounded by All Souls Catholic Cemetery and Page Jackson Cemetery. It is somewhat sandwiched in the middle. I do not understand even why they call it Lakeview since their are no lakes nearby.

The cemetery was established originally in the 1800s by a man with the name of Dr. T.J. Miller and later the cemetery was acquired by the city of Sanford in 1937. Their is a gazebo and many of the stones look Methodist their are no angels or crosses. Just giant stone slabs, stone walls, a gazebo for services, and some giant tall tombstones. Their are I would say over 1000 burials in Lakeview so its a fairly large cemetery.

Their is even a private from  The Spanish American War by the name of James Robert Richards. Other then that I do not have much information currently on the cemetery. But since Sanford is an old city with a high population their is alot of death and so the cemetery was created along many others to bury the dead just as other cemeteries nearby are various religions.
