Lake Dias some say Diaz Cemetery stretches on a long dirt road which dead ends at a this 1800s place of burial. The cemetery sits right on  lake Diaz and in a very secluded area. This is one of those cemeteries that you would see in some horror movie as the road to it is over a mile long passing twisted trees, moss hanging down into the road, and heavy foliage. Eventually when you get to the gates there is two dogs at the top of each gate.

The oldest stone dates back to 1839 by a man who perished in the Volusia Indian War. Then there are many stones which date back to the later 1800s. There is at least seven burials that have no headstones and one upper burial made out of brick that has no name at all. There is a stone bench that is broken, a stone shattered to pieces and many weathered stones including one from the mid 1800s.Many of the stones contain conk shells and sea shells just sitting on various stones, or even outlining some of the graves. There are roughly 100 burials here and at least 20 have the shells. There seems to be various families buried here the main ones being the Clifton's Hunter's and Tedders. One of the stones here was stolen and later recovered. You will see many stones that say different things such as gone to be an angel or out loss and heavens gain. The latest burial dates back to 2000 to 2001. So the cemetery is in use but very spread out. When you enter there is a tree trunk at the entrance with no leaves that sets the tone when visiting here.

Now you have a little bit of history lets talk about the entities here. Is this cemetery haunted YES its very full of supernatural activity such as moving cold spots, voices talking, the scream of a child, feelings of being watched. Its possible that the activity here is heightened because the cemetery is secluded and most likely gets very little visitors. So the entities here I noticed to be active. Many of the stones are ones they no longer make and many of the family plots are fenced off with wiring. It really to me a remarkable cemetery as far as studying the supernatural goes. There is a lot of mystery still yet remaining about this place. But once the sun you just can feel that the dead walk amongst its tombs.
