Hollenbeck Cemetery

We had to take the long way back and retrace our steps to visit this haunted cemetery. The drive was pretty treacherous since most of it was very foggy and their was at least 20 deer I spotted just driving down the long twisted road. Upon almost getting halfway to this place 3 does and a fawn were crossing the road. Lucky for me I stopped. The fawn was very smart she looked at me and was going to let me go and I looked into her eyes and she walked slowly past the van about a foot in front of it. We then a half hour later made it to the legendary Hollenbeck Cemetery. We parked out front of this place and it seemed very small the grass in some areas was very high and the trees were creepy as well. We walked up the small hill and seen the monument put in the center of the cemetery put their because of all the stolen stones over the years from vandals. In a mater of minutes we blasted the area with photography and of course being the daring person that I am I called for the headless horsemen to come out. I mean this has been one of my goals is to try and experience a sleep hollow type of experience. I then found a tree with a hole all the way through it the tree felt like it was staring at me or something was staring at me from the hole in the trunk. Jason he explored the back area with his spotlight which is fabled to have a strange glow in the woods but the moon was bright and I did not see anything of the sort. At this point I had to take a leak so I did because the trip home was fairly a long ways. I heard something across the road walking I even told Mark it sounds like something heavy like a horse and then heard a twig snap loud about 15 feet in front of us.

Moments later as Mark and I were talking we were halted with the loud scream of a horse very very close by no more then 50 feet away. If you ever seen the movie sleepy hollow and you see the headless horsemen hold his head and make the horse stand up on 2 legs this is what it sounded like. It was very loud and very close. At this point I drew my sword since I did not know what to expect if the horsemen would come charging at us from the back of the woods or from across the street. But this horse had fury. As you know at night horses sleep for one, two the only way they usually let out a sound like that is when you are galloping them usually. I never felt such an evil feeling before. I felt the horsemen near and we worked our way hastefully back to the van. I did not put down the sword as psychically I felt watched by something I never dealt with before in this field. We did get back into the van and we drove up and down the area with the spot light there was NO stables near by just a fallen garage, and a small garage like barn that was down the road and looked more like a giant storage garage for maybe a tractor rather then a horse.  This for us was enough validation to know the horsemen story is real. Mark did have his recording on and yet the loud horse did not record. This saddened me but also it was the highlight of my night as far as paranormal activity goes.

We then proceeded to go home as we completed the Erie Train station, Forest House, Gurnsey Hollow Cemetery and of course Hollenbeck Cemetery. All and all it was a safe but weird night. On the way home again we got hit by fog and I made once last attempt to find that old building outside of Jamestown but the fog was so thick that the spotlight only shined so far. We eventually did get home after 204 miles of total driving tonight lucky for me I had made some coffee after the horsemen I wanted to add a shot of vodka in it lol. It was a long trip and we had a little bit of everything happen. Evp, odd photos based on some of the digitals I looked at, sounds, little strange occurrences and much more. I am very proud to type this report despite its 5am right now. The one thing that was great is that everything went smoothly this was a very well planned investigation. The one thing we must be cautious about especially for us late night paranormal investigators is the drunk drivers. A man almost side swiped me tonight because he drifted over into my lane he could not drive straight at all down the road. I am disappointed more did not show to this investigation. Alot of thought and work goes into these investigations and it is always safer if you are on our team plus you are more likely to have a paranormal experience with us. We had a fun night and I am sure our perseverance will pay off.  I was disappointed about the institute and not being able to find that old building as I made 2 attempts at it but we have already talked about making plans for another trip out that way in the future.
Peace,
Rick
