In 1885 G.D. Clifford bought 20 acres on the east side of Eustis Florida. He had named the 5 acres of land Glenwood Cemetery and removed the remains of about 30 bodies from downtown Eustis to his cemetery. Then over time many people in the city moved their family plots from private homes to the cemetery Clifford created.  For nearly 18 years he sold five lot plots to families for only ten dollars. Then in 1902 Clifford sold the cemetery and it was changed to Greenwood eventually for the city to take over it due to its neglect it faced.

Today the cemetery is one of the largest in Lake county with perhaps 1000s of burials and rolling hills. Their is two areas to the cemetery which is the new one across the street and the older section on the other side. The older section seems to have some vandalized stones and civil war soldiers towards the front. Of course as you go further back some older stones are mixed in with newer ones. Our first investigation we did not cover the entire cemetery due to its enormous size and other investigations planned for the night. But as you will see from our first investigation a few photos really stand out as one photo reveals a pink, white, brown and blue energy with many different entities within it.

In Eustis their are a few other pioneer cemeteries in the area but due to many changing street names we could not find them. One of them has a story about the wood crosses starting on fire while. But their is a ghost story that is told in Eustis about a female apparition seen walking wearing a lace outfit by the cemetery on the road. They say she is sited late at night. People stop to help her and they hear her crying then they seen her lying over a tombstone where she is in tears. I do not know if this ghost story is related to Greenwood I mean the location it gives does not point to any cemetery on this road but if you go a few blocks it would lead you to Greenwood so I think their is some correlation linking the cemetery to the ghost story. But of course she is not the only ghost I mean a cemetery of this size with that many deaths, poor kept stones, and depth probably has alot of activity some nights.

But basically Eustis Cemetery is the biggest burial grounds in the City and perhaps the county so of course their is alot of history to it and with history comes a haunt.
