The DeLand Holiness Pentecostal Cemetery sits behind the Grace Chapel and although well taken care of it is one of these places many never knew existed or even gets many visits from the outside world. Their are roughly 80 burials within the cemetery but it appears that only half of that many graves are visible.

The oldest burial dates back to 1937 of a lady by the name of Lorena Carter Logue who only lived to 29 years of age and her grave says At Rest With Jesus. But then we have another grave of Tillman A. Russell who did not even live to a full year buried here also in 1938 so its possible he was the first burial since he died in Jan of 1938.

Their are a few other graves from the 1930s but most are from the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. Their seems to be alot of spouses buried next to each other here.

But does that love shared follow into the afterlife? I do believe this cemetery has a presence its pretty strong here unlike some cemeteries you go. This is not an unfriendly cemetery by any means its rather peaceful. But peaceful to our team might be very uncomfortable to someone else depending on how much you work with various entities. But little things like footsteps, moving breezes, shadows, and feeling watched from the giant tree in the cemetery are just a few of the occurrences.

What made this place special is that it was one of the final cemeteries in DeLand to be investigated by us which really is a milestone in some ways considering all the various cemeteries around the area.
