The day following the devastation of hurricane Charley we were all able to collect our talents and thoughts to investigate four of some of the most haunted locations since we moved the organization here. It was also a very special night since I have met quite a few new investigators to assist us in these hauntingly amazing investigations.

The evening started off with me meeting two friends we ate Chinese food and one of them may help with future investigations. The later on that night I met Pam, Joy and John which endeavored with us for a first time. It was a night full of bizarre incidents, some very eerie while others super funny. But we spent a nice evening out in very secluded areas bringing you some of the best southern haunts on this end of Florida.

Joy and John had some problems finding the house so you see no wonder why hurricane Charley went through here and hardly noticed my home:) But it turned out to be a stellar night as we investigated De Leon Springs & The Spanish Sugar Mill, Lake Diaz Cemetery, Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Cemetery, and finally Pinehurst Cemetery.

We left quite late last night but it was cooler outside and all the stars were out something that has been in rarity in Florida the past week and so our investigation begins here.

DeLeon Springs & Spanish Sugar Mill

After months of wanting to visit here the dream came true.  I read so much history about this place that I knew that it had to be haunted. The nice thing also abut this place is we were the first group to investigate it on a supernatural level. We had went over some eerie railroad tracks and eventually on a wooded dark road. As we started to head toward the main gate a cop went past us right to Joys car so we just missed him. He did turn on his lights and stay behind her car then eventually left. With the hurricane that occurred it seems many cars ran out of gas or were abandoned so that was that. But I thought it was going to be one of them nights where one incident led to another.

We then took a dark very thin road it was in the woods pretty much look like a road you would see in Children Of The Corn.  But we eventually took a road that led into the park. Right away we noticed that it was very dark almost impossible to see anything without a moon as there were quite a few roads within the park itself. I went with a lot of instinct and direction ended up in a picnic area.

We arrived at the picnic area  which we took a very swampy area I then heard an alligator so at that point we knew we had to be careful where we walked. I did see signs for the nature trail but we wanted to save that for another investigation. We somehow  ended up at some station with lots of vehicles the bright light was unsettling so we went back taking a curved road. Eventually arriving at the picnic area I was starting to realize how hard it was to find anything in the dark. Eventually we took another board walk which slowly I seen the old Spanish Sugar Mill which sat right near the springs or rather Ponce Deleon's supposed fountain of youth.

The first thing I did was ran over to the mill and looked into the window. I right away felt something in the dining area which the mill is not a restaurant. I believe there was a screen on that window so I was able to talk through the window which echoed inside the mill. The wheel was not spinning but the generator running was quite loud.

We all walked around the mill and everybody took there time looking in the windows. I was going to get silly and get up inside the wheel but I said nahhh I will be nice this time lol. We then walked around it once and headed on over to some ruins. There was a giant gear there which some history, another shelter with a bunch of historical facts such as the plantation that was once here, then part of an old ruins all made out of stone. We then ran into a sign that said beware alligators lol the joys of adventuring into the woods. We took our breaks got a few EMF readings then headed back to the Mill.

This time we focused on the mill found an old foundation near by then walked up the ramp looked down into a hallway. Both John and I seen a solid shadow move inside the restaurant it went from right to left then disappeared. At this point we knew something was inside watching us. We then circled all the way around and everybody was looking in the window I looked at earlier they seen a figure inside the restaurant it did notice us. They said it was like a silhouette of some kind perhaps like a shadow. When everybody noticed it it disappeared. I ended up not seeing it but felt it shoot out the window and stand behind us. Being experienced in the field I know how face these entities move and trust me it was very cold behind us. So at this point it was very curious on a few things.

We then took off walked past the springs, a little water fall and lake. We ended up finding an area that had a stucco tunnel perhaps it was some building but the tunnel I felt watched from. We walked around did not take the nature trail due to the grounds water table was to high. However I was trying to look for some of the native American burial mounds. I believe I found some of them but there was a house there and accidentally I shined the light on it so it was time to close up the investigation. We figured it was a rangers house.

We ended up taking a few dark roads and on our way back there were mystery flashes. It could not be lightening since the sky was clear. I then said wait its the Perseid meteor shower and that is what we were seeing flashes of meteors burning up as the enter the earths atmosphere. What a sigh of relief that was.

We then headed back out on the dark road it seemed like some person was following us he went up the road and came back. But eventually we ended up back to the car and completed a very interesting eventful investigation of the Spanish Sugar Mill and this very historical state park. We then headed up to the Lake Diaz Cemetery.
