The road into Bodie is about 13 miles long with the last three of them being unpaved. This road not only can take you into Americas most well preserved ghost town but also other numerous mining camps and town sites that once boomed in the 1800s. Some of the harshest winter weather in the United States takes place right where I am driving thus in the winter this road is very inaccessible without having snowmobiles.	This is footage of the last mile as we continue down this bumpy road into Bodie. Off in the distance you see the town all nestled amongst the Bodie Hills. As I get out you can also see a stone foundation and other visible sites such as the cemetery which is said to hold many of the out laws who once committed robberies, murders and stage coach hold ups. Nonetheless the town site is like a jewel in the desert as you wouldn't think you would see such a large town this deep into the desert wilderness but indeed it does exist!

Bodie is littered with thousands of remnants particularly from the 22 mines that surrounded the town site. This is a clip of a brief history of Bodie and some large pieces of machinery near the parking entrance. As I examine botht he history and remnants I take it to a trail that leads me into town where I would come across the Metzger House!	One of the first stops I made was at the Metzger House its age showed when I looked in the windows and seen a layer of dust on all the furniture. It would appear that when the town transitioned into a ghost town the people up and abandoned many of their belongings.

The Methodist Church is about the only theological structure that still stands within the town itself. The Catholic Church and Taoist Temple burned to the ground. Today the church represents the struggle between religion and greed as saloons surround it. At one time before their were no churches their were saloons. A pastor once said that Bodie was a sea of sin perhaps it was this very church those words were spoken!	The Miller House across from the old red barn is a fine exemplary home which gives you an inside look at how the residence once lived. For example the home contained a fireplace and a wood stove. Just as the bathtub was located in the children's rooms. The entire flooring was made of wood covered in tiling and the rooms were very small. It is obvious that this was a family home one with many simplicities.

As I made my way downtown these faces catch me unexpectedly which intrigues my curiosity about those who have seen ghost in the windows. Perhaps they are not ghost at all but mannequins. It is amazing how large Bodie still is considering only 5 percent of the town remains. Remnants are scattered amongst the high dry brush as if a disaster struck the region.	At one time Main Street was about a mile long it had Dance Halls, Saloons, Gambling Halls, Hotels and Bordellos. Miners working a hard day could go to Main Street for entertainment and relaxation. Bodie was a wild town perhaps the wildest in the west as it was lawless. What you see remaining of main street such as the post office, general store, saloon and newspaper is about as good as its going to get.

Our first apparition sighting occurred at this hotel which was also a restaurant and saloon. Today the roulette and pool table still remains all covered in dust. Later on after Tammy witnessed the shadow of an entity go across the hall I decided to come on back with the cam and see if I could get lucky filming it. I did not however little did I know that my turn would be coming around to achieve greatness.	Bodie had four Fire Halls in total with only this one being the last one standing. Back in the day before modernization they didnt have fire trucks but rather they had fire wagons such as the ones you see in this video. Its kind of odd how the fires of 1892 and 1932 burnt most of the town down despite the fact that fire hydrants are found throughout the town. I guess the elements won over the woods then the water over the fire back then in this very dry region of the desert. When someone would pass away or their was a funeral the bell atop of the firehall would ring based on the age of the individual. It was heard throughout the entire town which brought fear into so many residents especially children.

At one time this schoolhouse was loaded with laughing and playing children. Unlike most ghost towns that had a small structure that served as a place of education this school house had many rooms. Just about everything is left behind here that includes the desk, wooden globe and their is still writing on the chalk boards. The school bordered the edge of the industrial district where mining took place 24 hours a day.	The Garraty House borders the mining district and has been long forgotten. The entire home is either boarded up or inaccessible inside. Strangely I had seen the shadow of a man with a cowboy hat that walked out from the room to the left then disappeared as it went into the livingroom. I had then stopped to tell our team about the incident and that is when I turned on the cam. I re-approached the house a second time to document this occurrence when I noticed in my video that the shadowman was back. If you pay attention at around the 9 second mark you will see a shadow move from the left to the right and then it disappears at about the 29 second mark. If you want to play it a few times or enlarge the video or stop it between those marks carefully examine it and you will find their is no other explanation other then this is a ghost caught on cam. Their appears to also be a second shadow inside the living room following around the larger one so maybe their are two ghost which haunt the inside home. What a great prize to catch on cam considering this was our 1000th investigation! Their are no illusions or tricks of the eye the shadows appear on four different walls as I am holding my camera through the front doors slats. Their is no way to reproduce these shadows scientifically based on where the sun is and the fact that you are observing a three dimensional room their is no plausible explanation other then that this is a genuine ghost caught on film. You will began to see the shadow at the 9 sec mark although it fades pay very close only to reappear stronger later in the vide. The Standard Mill and Mine produced over One-Hundred million dollars in Gold and Silver. This was the heart of Bodie without the mill and mine Bodie would not have boomed to nearly 12,000 plus residents. Bodie remained a boomtown from about 1878 to 1882 then when the veins began to be depleted the miners moved on to places like the Comstock seeking riches.	Although Bodie was a place for badmen and lawlessness it did have a jail. At one time murders, stage coach robberies and fights broke out daily. Law and order would not be restored till the town dwindled but back in its heyday with all the transients and outlaws that came here it really was impossible to retain order here. The jail had a twenty degree drop in temperature perhaps ghost or the fact that it was a dark place with very little windows for the sun to peer on in.

Chinatown was segregated within Bodie as many Chinese laborers came from Southern China to find work in the United States. Although they lived seperately from the white folk in town they did maintain many of their traditions. This home was perhaps one of the largest within China town. The Chinese worked to make Charcoal, transport lumber to be used at the mines and for heating. They also grew vegetables and operated many of their own business. The Chinese had their own Taoist Temple, Stores, Gambling Halls, Laundry and Opium Houses. The Tracy House today contains some relics of the past such as an old desk and kettles. However today the home is overran with rodents and will never be restored to its former glory again.	This may just be one of the most haunted homes in all of Bodie. Rumors of rangers having experiences such as hearing social events, children laughing and playing are quite common. Also sometimes the home is locked up all winter long only to be opened and for those to smell the aroma of Italian food cooking. This home although haunted is a place for kindred souls as it was a very happy residence which is ironic considering how wild Bodie truly was back in the day!

My advice to anybody conquering Bunker Hill is to slow down. I nearly climbed to 9000' in minutes as I ran to the mills and miner cabins. The first stop I take you on is a mine shaft that's been blasted shut and some mill foundations. The entire hillside at one time was being mined for gold so water tanks, rusty debris, machinery, miner cabins and foundations are scattered in every direction!	Many of the miners had their own community surrounding the entire hillside. Some structures I found were one room cabins others were much larger like the house you see in this very clip that's boarded up. Most miners chose to live near the mines for accessibility and well what you are looking at was the first location prospectors discovered gold prior to Bodie becoming a town. Rumor has it that the vein that travels through this bluff is about 2 miles in length filled with pure Placer Gold!

For about three hundred feet I climbed nothing but mountains of debris through high brush as you can see a sample of it in this short clip. One of my favorite mechanisms I found throughout the piles of wood and sheet metal was this giant iron wheel. It may have been used to pull elevators or ore carts from the depths hard to say. There is so many artifacts like these found on Bunker Hill just waiting to be photographed. Please keep in mind mines and mills are very dangerous "Stay out stay alive" this is for entertainment purposes ONLY!	Nearing the end of our 1000th paranormal adventure I was rewarded with great views of the snow capped high Sierras, Yosemite, Tailing Ponds and a nice ariel views of Bodie below. As you can see towards the end of this clip Bodie is a very large ghost town and I am very far away from it as I hiked through mills, debris and mines to reach this secluded location. This reward was meant for not just me but my fans as well as we reached a milestone very few paranormal groups ever achieve! The Bodie Hills are vast and hold many surprises.

The Cains were a wealthy family as this is the son of J.S. Cain who supposedly had an affair with a Chinese servant and well when she was fired she was the talk of the town. Which would eventually lead to her committing suicide so although the fathers home is said to be haunted by the maid their is not much info I have about the sons home other then the fact that the rangers now use it to reside in. It is one of the finer homes within Bodie and eventually before the Cains sold the town to the state park system they technically owned many of the structures you seen in our videos. This was a very wealthy family involved with banking, mining and even timber at one time	The cemetery would be my last stop in Bodie as I came here to visit a grave site called the Angel Of Bodie. It is the site where a little girl was killed with a pick ax she is said to haunt this site. Sadly I never had gotten to visit little Evelyn as this crazy park employee was chasing me and making threats. To be respectful I shut off the cam but you can see her running up to me. I found out that this individual cleans toilets and picks up trash she isn't even a ranger. Yet this person threatened fine me $800, chase my truck nearly rear-ending me and blocking access from me taking a public back road I needed to get to my next ghost town. I never was so offended in my life considering the fact that we have sought to preserve and promote such locations so that people like her are employed. This also in turn brings in tourism so that places like Bodie can continue to be restored and kept alive. I did have permission to be there sadly the employee was unreasonable, rude and mentally challenged so we ended up leaving. I will return again and the first place ill go is the cemetery hopefully we will not run into Sarge again!
