Binghamton Inebriate Asylum

We entered the large property and took our time as we hiked in on hillside. We decided to keep it very simple and investigate 2 of the main buildings then head home since we had a long ways to travel. The first building we arrived at looked more like a giant mansion rather and this seemed to be fairly easy to explore since it was a T shaped building. We explored all 4 places and their were over 200 rooms rather they looked like apartments all had closets and shelves. Certain areas here were very cold although nothing was out of the ordinary. A few times I heard noises like walking, voices Ect but surprisingly it was very mild in activity during the day I felt worst walking around this building then actually being in it at night. But we took our photos spent sometime in the main area where there was 2 fireplaces and of course after awhile we decided to head to the main building which is the oldest building on site.

We entered the main building of the asylum and of course this place looks like a castle rather then an asylum. As soon as we entered this very large room all the radiators went off at once shaking, banging right away. Their was about 6-8 of them and they were going off at once but we did not back down we entered the room and about a minute later they totally stopped. The energy level was very high here it felt like either what was here was trying to scare us or welcome us in their own way. Right away I was amazed walking throughout this place it was actually clean inside, smelt fresh like oak and was very well organized.

We walked down one patient hallway and came to a winding stairwell made out of wood one way led downstairs to patient corridors 1 and 2 and the administrations/basement area. Unfortunately we only spent time inside the chapel, 4th floor patient rooms and the attic area. We really did not have time to explore the basement here or main lobby but it was nice to explore the chapel area which had big fireplaces, castle like wooden doors, a giant bay window with stained glass. One of the rooms had 2 beds. You could tell the patients here were treated much better then most asylums. We were just happy exploring and being able to walk down a few hallways as this place looked just like it did in the 1800s one room was even a classroom with a chalkboard. One thing that made it gloomy was the dim colored lights in a few areas like this asylum was still in operation.

We did not sense much here although after exploring the hallway, chapel, attic we decided not to overstay our welcome. The attic was very odd. There was a little hatch going onto the roof, a few archways which led to rooms, and small little doorways that were hard to get through. I heard an odd noise in the attic it sounded like crying or whining it could be possibly anything on the roof but it was coming from outside. The activity here was fairly mild the birds swooping down was probably our biggest threat do not wake up sleeping pigeons trust me they get pretty angry especially in low ceiling areas.

We left the historical building and we really then focused our energies into investigating the 200 acres. Their were many different buildings on site a garage, a warehouse, a post office building, a gazebo, a shop Ect Ect most likely they provided workshops for the guest at the asylums during their stay as they use to grow their own crops here. Right away near one of the old brick building Mark captured ectoplasm then a few seconds later I caught it then another photo of an apparition. Then in a dark corner we heard a noise like something was moving all around us it was pretty amazing. As whatever it was seemed to be walking with us to each building.

We captured multiple apparition and ectoplasm shots on the property no matter where we went. Alot of the ectoplasm was either surrounding me at some points or Mark an Jason. We especially took some good shots where their is a mansion on the site its probably the staff house. After taking quite a few Ectoplasmic shots we decided to call it a night and head home. As the ghost were very cooperative. I do remember one thing I did do when connecting with this spirit. I told the spirit to go up to the second floor balcony and let me take its photo and sure enough I took a nice photo of ectoplasm on the upper balcony. So the ghost we noticed on the grounds were more active then inside the asylum itself.

We then walked back to the van did a little celebration since we conquered some of the hardest haunted places in the country. Then I stopped at a gas station which had no coffee hmmm seemed like on our whole trip this weekend every gas station had a problem where there was no coffee, no rest room, a out of service rest room or some person who could not help give me directions lol. We eventually arrived home on the way home everybody was sleeping and when I was driving I seen a bright meteor in the sky it was pretty low and close that was a nice sight wish everybody seen it.

As you can see we had a very fun filled and busy weekend we captured every type of paranormal activity possibly a vortex, moving orbs, apparitions and ectoplasm, heard things, seen things and for those that missed this trip they were one time visits. The one thing I regret is I wish I lived closer or Id be spending a lot of times exploring these asylums their is a lot of ghost and mysteries exist here. Finally I had to get some sleep because I had another investigation locally planned here in the Buffalo area.
