The Paranormal & Ghost Society

This is the road on into Berlin as you can see its extremely secluded not to far from one of the loneliest roads in America. Berlin was established in 1897 it was a mining town that went bust like most in the west. It had mills, stores, saloons, mines, hotels and even a very unique boarding house. Beyond this town through the pass is another ghost town called Union which resides near the Ichthyosaurus state park. Notice the wild cattle along the side of the road and crossing it prior to us entering the town site. This is one of the most adventurous ghost towns The Paranormal & Ghost Society has ever visited with much to explore.	This old wagon road leads to the old pioneer cemetery below the town of Berlin itself. When you hike in the desert especially an area as vast as this you feel pretty small compared to everything else that surrounds you.
The cemetery is in despair only a few graves remain the rest more then likely are unmarked burials. You can also see how secluded the cemetery is compared to the town further up onto the mountain. Back in the day most towns had a burial ground just outside of town that would sit a mile from the town itself. Even in the west the early settlers were very paranoid about ghost while others buried their own dead right in the backyard. Perhaps this is why so many graves are to be found here!	This is an old machine shop where automobiles and other things could be fixed at. The shop served many purposes being that it sat right in the middle of this historic ghost town. Everything within the town is made of wood however some structures we later found revealed that some were made of stone. If you notice in the video you can see tiny holes from the inside of the machine shop where light peers through. It appears at one time or another someone may have used this building for target practice. The mill you see in the video was one of the largest and most in tact ore mills in the state of NV. I would eventually set my eyes onto this structure to explore and investigate anything strange.
This is a night-vision video of the Berlin Mill as I toured various levels and machinery including a stamp machine. The ore would be brought here for processing then it would be exported from here as well. This is a very unique mill there really isn't any like it not in this good of shape left in the state of NV. The mill has various levels and allot of machinery to help process the ore that came through via mine cart to the upper backside of this structure. Please note that abandoned buildings are dangerous do not try this at home for entertainment purposes only!	The video you are seeing is of the main mine entrance that sits behind the Berlin Mill. At one time Berlin was home to over 3 miles in underground tunnels and it was a fairly wealthy town. Like most ghost towns the mines always resides towards the back of the town on the incline of the mountainside. After this video a couple approached me wanting our card when they realized I was taking paranormal readouts.
This is a mine debris pile they are very common as they reside in front of most of the mines in Nevada. Debris was often collected then thrown down the hillside. These are very dangerous to slide down I almost broke my arm and injured myself in 2008 on one. However if you side step it right you can venture up and down them. Sometimes it is the only way to exit or enter a mine. In this case the mine debris pile sits behind the ghost town of Berlin and with everything we do we prefer the more adventurous route.	Union was a small nearby ghost town above Berlin in the pass. I am standing on the road in this pass or rather canyon. You can see in the video that it is starting to snow and trust me it does worsen. This really dampened our investigation and limited our time up here. Keep in mind this video was taken May 28th 2011 the year prior we had something similar happen to us same time....date etc up in Modena UT. This is a high desert scrub type of forest you can camp here not much remains of Union and just a couple miles below is Berlin.
This is one of the only intact structures in Union called the William Joseph Henry House. Not to far away from Union just within a short walking distance is the fossil park. Union and Berlin were very close to one another only a couple miles separated them. This house and Union sits in the Berlin Pass the area is very overgrown so its hard to tell if their are any other remnants of the town hidden away. I did take EVPs in this house sadly they were stolen so some of you are going to have to wait for a second trip out here where I can record more.	This area you see in the video is the Fossil Park which may be more valuable then even Berlin itself. At one time a sea covered these mountains and these creatures bigger then most whales in the ocean swam over the Shoshone Mtn Range where they eventually settled here on this plateau. Overtime their bones are being excavated and you can take a tour to see them. The painting on the wall is a size comparison which some were bigger then school buses.
The winds are picking on up and it is sleeting out near Berlin. We were getting ready to leave when I noticed out in the desert some adobe ruins which are a rather unique site to tour in relation to the ghost town. My camera is wet the lens had water on it and I was hauling ass to film these ruins for our viewers. The storm is here and we had almost 200 miles of driving to do through it. It would only worsen as we tried to pack it up and get out of the area.	This is an offroading video of us leaving Union and Berlin NV. The skies are gray and a storm is brewing. The storm was mixed with snow, rains and sleet. If you look closely you can see we are driving right into the storm as we were heading west and the storm was heading east. This storm system was quite devastating state wide as it came from CA and almost consumed the entire state. By the time we reached the mountains ahead of us we were hit with a major snow storm all on May 28th of 2011. To make matters worst within a minute after filming this the truck blew a flat tire and that is when the real fun began.

We were the last people to leave the town and after we went a few miles down the road the truck blew a flat. It was my birthday and I spent 45 minutes under my truck trying to get the spare down. The temperature was in the 30's it was sleeting my clothes were soaked...the heat stopped working in the truck....my windows stopped working so yeah some pretty shitty luck.

However what is unique about this situation is that in 2010 same date May 28th same time 6ish pm I blew a flat was stranded in a snowstorm outside of Modena UT. Here is in May 28th 2011 same time same date stuck outside of a ghost town named Berlin in the middle of a major storm. Two birthdays back to back coincidence or curse? YOU DECIDE!
