Alden Town Cemetery sits a little back in the woods behind some houses. The cemetery is from the earlier 1800s and contains maybe 35 stones if that which are fairly spread apart. The cemetery is very pioneer probably contains some of the first pioneers in the Alden NY area. I never knew where this place was till Ryan took us and Leeza mentioned it also to me. One thing that stands out is the front entrance has a archway it seems that the entrance is more haunted then the cemetery itself. The cemetery contains 1 revolutionary war soldier is buried here from the 1830s. The cemetery has been forgotten teens use it to make out in, drink, vandalize and party. There is a tree in the center that has fallen on some stones and the town resurrected one of the stones including the soldiers. I guess they want to restore the cemetery however the question is how restorable is this place there seems to be a lot of unmarked graves you can tell by walking around, some are broke, some you cannot even read. Is it haunted are there ghost there yes and that is probably why they showed up for us so well since nobody ever visits here for them but rather to disrespect the cemetery. This cemetery is very peaceful however.
